Low pass Filters The low pass filter prevents the transmission of frequencies above a determined cutoff point and appears nearly electrically transparent to frequencies below this point. In other words it passes low frequencies and rejects high frequencies. Another name for low pass filter is anti-alias filter. Filtronetics Inc. can supply both LC low pass filters and microwave low pass filters. LC low pass filters utilize inductors and capacitors in their design. They are typically in the frequency range of a few hertz to 1 GHz. Microwave low pass filters are typically in the range of 500 MHz to 20 GHz. Filtronetics Inc. supplies low pass filters with monotonic, elliptic and custom designs. Characteristic responses include Buterworth, Chebyshev, Cauer, Gaussian, Bessel (maximally flat delay), Equal ripple delay, Legendre as well as custom responses. These can have from 1 to 22 poles. These filters can be group delay equalized, amplitude equalized, or phase equalized, amplitude matched, delay matched, phase matched, amplitude tracked, delay tracked, phase tracked. We have special designs for good ring down or overshoot response as well as good IP2 or 2nd order intermodulation characteristics and IP3 or 3rd order intermodulation characteristics. Our filters have been utilized in systems in space, military, undersea, airborne, testing, and commercial applications. We can produce from one to over a million low pass filters for your application. Low pass filter packages include Surface mount (SMD), Through-hole, and with connectors (BNC, TNC, SMA or N) versions. |
