LC filters Traditionally, lumped element filters that include inductors and capacitors are referred to as LC filters. These filters are viable from DC to frequencies as high as several GHz. At the lower frequencies they overlap EMI filters, while at the upper frequency limit they coincide with microwave structures. One main distinction between EMI and LC filters is power handling. EMI filters are designed for higher power line filtering while LC filters are more suited for transmit-receive functions. Microwave filters have the distinct advantage of lower insertion loss and better stability. Filtronetics Inc. offers a complete array of LC filters. Topology types include LC lowpass filters, LC highpass filters, LC bandpass filters, and LC notch filters. In addition we can configure these LC filters into diplexers, multiplexers and switched filter bank assemblies. Filtering shapes range from monotonic to elliptic and consist of Buterworth, Chebyshev, Cauer, Gaussian, Bessel (maximally flat delay), Equal Ripple Delay, Legendre as well as custom responses. These LC filters can be group delay equalized, amplitude equalized, or phase equalized, amplitude matched, delay matched, or phase matched amplitude tracked, delay tracked, or phase tracked. We have special designs for good ring-down or overshoot response as well as good IP2 or second order intermodulation and IP3 or third order intermodulation characteristics Filtronetics Inc has built LC filters that are utilized in systems in space, military, undersea, airborne, testing, and commercial applications. We can produce from one to over a million LC filters for your application. LC filters are available in surface mount (SMD), through-hole, and with connector (BNC, TNC, SMA or N) package versions. |
